Is the original Levi's 501XX without a guarantee?
We have obtained about 10 vintage original Levi's 501XX so far.
Well, compared to reprinted jeans, the difference in fabric is obvious, and it is natural that some people are enthusiastic about the good atmosphere.
This is the original 501XX around 60's.
I bought it from a second-hand clothing store that wholesales vintage second-hand clothing. When I picked up this real thing, I thought I would keep it for myself because of its size and good atmosphere, but I ended up selling it. However, when I think about it now, I regret that I shouldn't have sold it. The color fading and the atmosphere of the fabric are not as rough as 40's, but I still felt the vertical fading.
As for the condition, there were small scratches on the right hip pocket, half of the red tab was about to come off, and the stitches were frayed and frayed in some places, but the condition of the fabric was not particularly problematic. Also, it was a pity that there was no patch, but since the back of the rivet in the front pocket was aluminum, I decided that there was no guarantee. Regarding the specifications, it was like button back W, red tab double-sided BIGE, coin pocket back ear, hidden rivet, center belt loop deviation, foot length R, V stitch.
Actual size (measured in a flat position)
Notation size unknown
Waist approx. 43.5 cm (measured by aligning the front and back of the waistband)
Crotch bottom about 78 cm
Crotch top about 31 cm
Hem width about 21.5 cm
Watari about 29.5 cm (measured 10 cm from the inseam)
Before
It seems that the image conveys the goodness of the atmosphere as it is, but the real thing felt that the atmosphere was many times better than this, and it is a pity that it can not be conveyed.
back
It was a specification that the center belt loop came off.
hem
The atmosphere of uneune is also OK. From the length and atmosphere of the length, it seemed to be the original length.
Selvedge and chain stitch
There was a slight scratch on the hem.
Red tab
BIG E on both sides could be read on the red tab. Half of it was about to be taken, but is it a good atmosphere?
There was a small flaw on the right hip pocket.
Left front pocket
The stitches were frayed or frayed.
Right front pocket
There were also frayed and frayed stitches here.
The engraving on the back of the top button was "W".
Foot length R and V stitch
Back rivet in front pocket
Since it was aluminum, I decided that there was no guarantee.
Hidden rivets
Since it has hidden rivets, it seemed that there was no initial guarantee.
crotch
There was also fraying and fraying on the stitches.
There were some small scratches and frayed stitches, but I did not repair it.
If you want to repair it, I thought it would be better to reinforce it by hand sewing.
I thought that if I put in a sewing machine, the original stitches would be cut off and the fabric would change, which would slightly impair the original feel.
Reprinted jeans are repaired and reinforced with a sewing machine, but this is a difficult place for the original.
Well, even if it is the original, if the damage is obviously large, you can repair it with a sewing machine and divide it ...
